Let us help with your planning for this new exam module. To coincide with the launch of the new specifications, we have a new range of teaching packs to help you teach these set texts for examination.
Each photocopiable pack has been created to enable you to teach a set text in its entirety. Each teaching pack follows the demands of the new specification and is jam-packed full of theory, practical ideas, teaching suggestions and photocopiable student handouts for delivering the set text in terms of its context, how to look at the play from the perspective of a performer, director or designer, looking at key extracts and creating a performance vision and preparing your students for the exam. The teaching packs will provide you with an abundance of lesson ideas and resources to teach your set play.
This resource is now in stock. It contains teaching ideas that will allow you teach the entire play, scene by scene, from a practical and theory-based perspective. It provides a complete range of rehearsal ideas to use with every scene of the play, as well as handouts that will help you develop students' understanding of characterisation of the main roles (Leah, Richard, John Tate, Phil, Cathy), as well as covering themes, design elements (lighting, sound and staging ideas), acting approaches and directorial ideas. The whole scheme is geared towards the new Eduqas exam and contains many assessment style questions (and exemplar answers) that you can use in conjunction with your practical study of the text.
Please note: this product is a teacher's resource, it does not contain a copy of the play script. The play script will need to be ordered separately if you need it.
