Colder Than Here by Laura Wade
£9.99
If you're looking for a gem of a play to teach, then this is it. It's a firm favourite here in the EHD offices and we've had some lovely feedback from customers too:
"Such a wonderful text! One of those that never fail to make me and my students smile!" E. Watts, Bury.
"I'm not sure I've heard a class erupt in to such laughter as when we read the moment where Myra is sitting in her cardboard coffin, watching TV. The sadness of this play is tackled with such honesty but reminds us of the absurd side to such tragedy. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!" Suzy, Chester.
A bittersweet comedy about a family coming to terms with their mother's terminal illness. What sounds like it could be a very tragic play choice, is actually far from what you'd expect. With moments of humour, complex family relationships and some really very witty observations about human reactions to awful news, this will definitely be a favourite with you and your class.
