This A2 posters contains all of the fractions that pupils need to know at the end of Year 2. When considering how fractions are displayed in the Key Stage One classroom it is important to remember that fraction bars and number lines are considered easier for pupils to draw than circles. Number lines also let pupils line up fractions in a row and offer a visual way of seeing the difference in size of fractions, something that can’t always be seen by using circles such as pizzas or pies. This posters offers a visual method of understanding fractions, in relation to the whole, as well as spotting equivalent fractions such as one half and two fourths.
